Topic: Bringing your web sites to the next level with HTML5 and pinned sites!

Presenter: Susan Ibach

Details:

Unless you’ve been hiding under a rock you’ve probably heard something about HTML5. What exactly is HTML5? What are the benefits of HTML5? and how can I start using it today when some of my users are still using older browsers that don’t support it? Susan will also share her favorite maximum wow for minimum work feature in Internet Explorer: pinned sites.  Come on out and join Susan Ibach, developer evangelist from Microsoft Canada, as she takes you on an journey to bring your web site to the next level.

Speaker Bio:

Susan Ibach is a developer evangelist at Microsoft Canada, whose roots are right here in Freddy Beach, a graduate of UNB and Ecole Sainte Anne, who married an Albertan so they split the difference and settled in Ottawa. She loves to talk about Windows Phone, HTML5 and the cloud. She has worked as a consultant doing programming, testing, data conversions, roll-outs and also as a trainer teaching Oracle, SQL Server, SQL Server BI, and .NET programming. When she is not staring at an LCD screen, she is probably doing martial arts with her kids, out running, or enjoying her husband's cooking
